She maintains an active encaustic practice in Florida and is closely connected to the encaustic community through continued study, collaboration, and process-driven work. Cindy is also the president and founder of Creative Cat Media, Inc., where storytelling, design, and hands-on craftsmanship intersect across disciplines.
“I am a contemporary encaustic artist who uses molten wax to tell stories. Each painting begins without a script, unfolding through layers of wax, pigment, heat, and revision. I scrape, carve, embed, and reveal—letting earlier moments remain visible, like memories in a well-loved tale. My work is influenced by imagination, lived experience, and the small, curious details that invite wonder. These paintings are visual stories meant to be lingered over, where viewers are encouraged to look closely, follow the layers, and discover their own narrative within the wax.”
