Florida Wax

A chapter of the International Encaustic Artists who celebrate encaustic art through educational opportunities and supporting the community of artists in the State of Florida working in this medium.

About Encaustic

Encaustic is an ancient painting process that utilizes molten beeswax, damar resin, and pigments. The Egyptians and Greeks used this medium to paint murals, funeral portraits, and ships. Encaustic today is used in a more contemporary way through paintings, photography, sculpture, and mixed media.

Any Florida Encaustic Artists interested in joining Florida Wax, please review member information and fill out the Membership Application.
