Alan Lindenmuth was born and raised in Rochester New York. He earned his Nursing degree, and BA in Health Education in NY and his MA in Organizational Management at the University of Phoenix in Orlando. He has worked in the healthcare field for over 40 years. After moving to Florida, he joined the Art League of Orange County, the oldest art group in Orlando. He held several office positions on the board of ALOC and this is where he was introduced to this luminous medium that has ignited his creativity. Alan is a founding member of Florida Wax and has shown and sold his work throughout the state.

It is gratifying to me to create artwork that is a journey between intention and chance, teetering on the balance of playful chaos and refined choice. I believe that through my experimentation in encaustic I have been able to achieve the expressive freedom that my passion calls me to.”
