“Whatever subject may present itself to me whether it be figurative, landscape, portraits, or abstraction, I rely on the masters of yesterday and today to inform my use of darkness and light, to school me in shadows and lost edges. With this series, the juxtaposition of organic human forms within the geometric spaces has challenged me with the use of color, shapes and temperature. The gestural markings create a sense of movement and storytelling.”Thomas Carmon
