Native Miami born Mindy Tillery is a contemporary mixed media artist currently living in Melbourne, Florida. She grew up with a love of being surrounded by beautiful spaces, both in her childhood home as well as in the natural world and this is what has always influenced her creativity. She studied art and architecture with a passion for creating living spaces that reflect a balance of elegance with practicality. Her creative journey has led her to many opportunities including jewelry design and interior design. After many years working as a professional hospitality interior designer she felt called back to her first passion and returned to her artistic roots as a full time practice in 2020.
Beauty is very important as an indication of divine order in the universe with the connection and arrangement of patterns in the microcosms of the natural world or geology and the macrocosms of the vast galaxies or astronomy. Fascination by flora, fauna, fashion, sacred geometry, metaphysical studies and profound truths discovered in poetry including music, dance, meditation, philosophy and prayer, has been her primary interest in analyzing and interpreting dreams through symbols and patterns.
Exploring and experimenting with layering various mediums has led her on a journey into the dreamy and mysterious. Her personal creative process consists of layering on various mediums such as oil + cold wax, oil sticks, pan pastels, ink, collage and encaustic paint to name a few as well as excavating these various layers to achieve a multi-dimensional visual experience.

My intention is to take the viewer into a beautiful fantasy of dreams revealing my imagination where inner worlds melt with the outer world. Beauty is very important to me as an indication of divine order in the universe, I’m constantly influenced and inspired by the microcosms of the natural world and the macrocosms of the vast galaxies. Fascinated by flora, fauna, fashion, sacred geometry, metaphysical studies and profound truths discovered in poetry including music, dance, meditation and prayer, I am most interested in analyzing and interpreting symbols and patterns.
Currently my body of work involves exploring and presenting how the beauty of nature and the cosmos have especially beneficial healing powers. I have discovered through my practice that the expressing of deep personal inner reflections and emotions is a healing balm for fostering harmony and well being in an oftentimes chaotic world.
